On Friday 17th February 2012, Rex Tattersall today drove up from Wrexham on a special visit to the Golf Club where his grandfather had enjoyed many a happy day playing some excellent golf.
On one such day in 1923 Rex's grandfather, Mr F G Tattershall, won the Peace Cup, and was presented a minature replica of the Cup as keepsake. The minature of the Peace Cup was proudly displayed in the Tattersall household over the years, but sadly Mr F G Tattersall is now no longer with us and grandson Rex, in an extremely kind gesture, thought it time his grandfather's Peace Cup should be returned to Club who had presented it ot him all those years ago.

Mr Rex Tattersall is shown above handing over the Cup which was received on behalf of the Club by Bill McKinney, and also a photo (right) of the two Cups together, which can now be seen on display in the Club's trophy cabinet.
