Dress Code

Members, Visitors and Guests are asked to observe the following dress code in order to uphold the standards of Withington Golf Club.

On the course
Jeans, trainers, track suits, track suit bottoms and collarless T shirts are not permitted, (turtle neck golf shirts will be allowed). Shorts must be tailored, not athletic style and ideally worn just above knee length for both gents and ladies. When wearing shorts, socks should be either knee length or light coloured sports socks.

  • Shirts should be tucked inside trousers and trousers not tucked inside socks.
  • Golf caps should be worn in the appropriate manner and not back to front.

Clubhouse
Jeans, track suits, trainers, hiking boots, flip-flops or wellingtons are not permitted.

Although the wearing of jacket and tie is encouraged, smart casual dress will be accepted. Members receiving a prize on presentation evenings must wear jacket and tie.

Whilst we encourage players to change after their round of golf, clean golf attire will be accepted, however clothing bearing obvious signs of rain, mud or heavy perspiration should not be worn in the lounge or dining areas.

Mobile Phones
The use of mobile phones on the golf course is not permitted.

Mobile phones inside the Clubhouse: Members, visitors and guests are asked to be considerate to others and should you need to use a mobile phone, it is preferred you do so in the downstairs areas.

We thank you for your co-operation in upholding the standards of Withington Golf Club.
